Do not leave handles wet (mainly in bathrooms and toilets). Mineral salts from evaporated water precipitate on the surface of the handles and stay there. These cause stains of a different colour on the handles. These contaminants can be effectively removed by erasing with a school eraser or by using SITOL all-purpose cleaner. M&T SNI cleaner is suitable for SNI surface finish. Prevent these stains and keep the handles dry.
Before first use, lightly wipe the titanium-coated handles with a cotton cloth impregnated with M&T TITAN protective cleaner. Afterwards, fingerprints will no longer be visible on the handle and the surface will get a richer metallic shade. We recommend to buy M&T TITAN protective cleaner together with titanium fittings.

The surface of the door handles and labels M&T is coated with a hard, chemically stable film using methods PVD and PACVD. This technological process is done under low pressure in vacuum chambers. In the PACVD (Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition) process, the coating grows due to a heterogeneous chemical reaction on the surface of the substrate. The reacting substances are supplied in the gas phase. These gases are activated in low temperature plasma where molecules are dissociated and radicals, ions and excited atoms arise. It decreases the activation energy necessary for the chemical reaction so the reaction temperature can be lower. Moreover, the properties of the growing layer can be controlled by the variation of the plasma parameters. In the PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process, the coating grows due to deposition of atoms coming from a solid state target placed in the vacuum recipient walls.

Sprayed baked surface in shade RAL 9003, matt with structure. White surface can be applied on stainless steel and brass fitting. Sprayed surface has its limits – it is not metal layer as other M&T surface finishes. Surface cannot be guaranteed if it is scratched with rings and other sharp objects. The white surface is not suitable in commercial buildings to doors with high frequency control.
